No idea what this means, but I'm getting a small dark spot on all of my

Very common "problem" with DSLRs. Very simple fix: get a can of
compressed air from someone, somewhere, just steal it from the office
supply closet, whatever. Put the camera in mirror lock-up mode,
release the shutter, remove the lens, and gently blow compressed air
across the filter. You're not actually cleaning the CCD sensor, you're
cleaning the low-pass filter which is a strip of blue-tinted glass that
houses or covers the sensor - if you have crud on the actual sensor,
you'll need professional help. Anyway, you can typically see the
culprit on the filter. So gently blow the air in there, turn the
camera off and re-attach the lens. Go outside, shoot a picture of a
clear sky at the highest aperture (f/22, f/32) your lens offers and
check it for spots.
