Who the HELL wants to watch 300 images of someone else's wedding?????????
That was one of the benefits of film. It's called "less is more".

Actually, I think that's getting to be pretty normal to have well over
700 images. That's one of the great benefits of digital. You don't
have to pay $20 per roll for processing. No more 10-roll limit.
More and more, one album is prints and a second "album" is a DVD. The
DVD has lots of extras the print one doesn't, like ALL of the tables
and people dancing with the bride. People can sit on the ol Lazyboy
and watch it. Also, they can mail out DVDs a lot easier than whole
albums -- especially if they have family out-of-the-area. A 300 image
DVD at 5 sec per image runs about 1/2 hour -- that's about the
attention span for the family to watch.
This is the biggest contribution of digital to weddings. Another is
the ability to project the wedding pictures on to a screen while still
at the reception. It is the ultimate in instant gratification. People
can see the pictures before they leave for the evening. Its a little
scary because there is absolutely NO editing. So if the flash didn't
go off ....
