I was the top bidder 4 separate times on Nikon lenses. Each time someone
outbid me at the last second by 2 dollars. Obviously they have either
paid
someone to bid for them who has a computer program to do this or they have
such a program themselves. There is no way that a legitimate bidder could
come in at the last possible second and win without such a program. My
point is that ebay must know that this is going on and so the whole
auction
is dishonest and rigged. I think that ebay could weed out programed bids
if they really wanted to. I will no longer attempt to bid on anything on
ebay.
Never bid early on an item. If the item is up for 7 days place it in the
watching section and wait. You'll notice the newbies and people who don't
understand the workings of ebay bidding against each other again and again.
All these people do is up the final price of the item. If the bidding is
consistent in the last hour or so wait until about 20 sec remain and place
the highest bid you are willing to pay. Others will either not have enough
time to replace a bid or they will have you outbid. There are more items on
ebay than you'll ever need. Try until you get what you want. Sniping is a
normal occurance on ebay and the only way to beat the snipers is to join
them.
