Not when 100% of those people were subscribers. The data is only based
on subscribers who respond. It tells nothing about the rest of the
population, subscribers and non-subscribers.

If you ever studied statistics, evidently much of it was either
forgotten or beyond you. If you have problems with the makeup of
the sample base that's one thing, and maybe you should try to show
that CR readers experience somehow does not do a good job
representing the public as a whole. But you didn't do that. You
said that a sample consisting of 6% of US automobile owners is
"minuscule". Again, I can only repeat "that's an ENORMOUS sample".
If you can't understand something that basic, it's rather pointless
continuing this discussion. It's time to get out the checkbook.
You need to buy some clues.
