No I have never played or used a Coolscan.

Why not, Bob? Doesn't HP train you in it's competition?

I come from a car company, and we not only go to all the auto
shows, we rent and evaluate the world's cars and actually
tear-down 6-8 a year to see exactly how they're built. So, I
would think you'd be at least somewhat familiar with Nikon,
they are the world leader in this technology, after all. While
I know no-thing about Braun, please don't insult my
intelligence by telling me that the real world leader is
Braun. Read on for why I think this.

Braun is HP Marketing Corp. We are the same thing to Braun
as Nikon is to their products.

We sell, service and support Braun as well as our other
products in the USA. Like Nikon, Canon, Pentax, etc. we are
the source for our products to camera stores. Like Pentax,
Nikon, Canon, etc. we do not sell to end users.

You do not deal with Nikon Japan and you don't deal with
Braun Germany.

I don't talk to Nikon, Japan because there /is/ a Nikon USA.
Go look at your web site. The phone number is international.
So, who would I go to at Braun to learn more - over the phone?

You buy either product from your dealer of choice.

Easy to say, hard to do. I've yellow paged and Googled and if
there's a local store in SE Michigan that stocks the Braun
4000, I couldn't find it. So, where are they? I will /not/ buy
something this expensive from a reseller.
