I bought a Panasonic FZ30 from Buydig.com last Feb. The
camera itself sold for $473 USD. The final cost to my door,
shipping, taxes etc. was $687 CAD.

At that time the best Canadian price I could find was $899
plus taxes and shipping.

I can't comprehend why the Canadian price was so high,
unless Panasonic Canada itself was taking a very large
profit. I'm sure canadian dealers are required to purchase
stock from Panasonic Canada.

The camera price on the Panasonic.ca web site was $999 CAD,
at that time.
