I'm quite new with digital cameras. While I continue to read and study the various camera's in my price range, we have started to receive digital photos from family and friends (we're brand new grandparents).
I'd like to know if there are any decent freeware photo editors. I've taken a look at Tucows and a few other places, but before I install a 20 meg software program, I'd like some forum guidance.
I'm appreciative of any guidance. Thanks in advance.
Yes, but it depends very much on how much editing you wish to do, and what kind, and on how much time and interest you have to give to learning to use the editing tools. If you want to do professional level editing, and are willing to spend a few hundred hours learning how to really use it, The GIMP is very powerful, and free. If you just want to crop, lighten, sharpen, and rotate, or remove red-eye, then a free program like Irfanview or Fastone viewer will do the job for you.
