indeed "reading" makes their heads hurt, imagine what "understanding"
would do ..
the quality control for one province finds? a problem in their county
and suddenly all cameras nation-wide are pulled back ?
quote
"..China does not yet have national standards for digital camera
products, the Zhejiang Administration for Industry and Commerce
carried out its inspections using standards provided by Sony, as well
as recommended industrial standards.." unquote
recommended industrial standards ?? for what then .. car building ?
they say they don't have any for digital cameras ?
quote
"..Kang Jian, a PR official with Sony (China), told Interfax. "But
part of the reason for the failure to meet standards was that we
submitted the wrong enterprise standards for use in the inspections."
unquote
huh ?? submitting the wrong entreprise standards ? come on !
"..Two of these models were made by Shanghai Suoguang Electronics Co.
Ltd. (SSGE), a joint venture between Sony China, SVA Information and
SVA Electron. The others were produced by Sony Electronics (Wuxi) Co.
Ltd...."
ha ! so in fact the China assembly lines goofed up ?
"..In all, the Zhejiang Administration for Industry and Commerce
determined that 13 digital camera models from different companies
failed the inspection. Final inspection results for non-Sony digital
cameras that failed the inspection have not yet been released..."
OH ! wait a sec ! .. Sony is getting the full blast in the media 'cos
its name was mentioned first ?? Rumour goes that at least 6 other
companies are also involved .. so ??
Why am I getting the feeling that this has a nasty smell ? :-)
