That doesn't seem like a good reason, because digicams could be designed
with internal USB plugs so flash-memory devices don't stick out.
Looks like you can get 512 MB flash memory with USB plug for only $35.
Whereas xD 512 costs over $50, and CF 512 over $40.
Of course the big advantage is easy transfer of files. Just take your
digicam USB memory card and plug it into your computer's USB slot.
