First, it is possible to download the corrupt movie file to a closed folder.
I can then zip that folder, (no need to open it), and mail it to another
computer.
That second computer may or may not be able to run the movie depending on
Windows version.
It's about one out of ten movie files from the S2IS that has been bad, the
others does work quite ok.
I have also done the registry edit trick.
That made one positive improvement; it's now is possible to open the folder
without crashing!
But, when left- or right-clicking the avi-file within the folder, the crash
is still instantly there.
I also downloaded the http://www.mainconcept.com/products.shtml thing and
also tried the VirtualDub
but only got a crash in VirtualDub too when trying to open the file.
I believe I must remove all the video viewer software and all codecs, and
install new video software from scratch.
How can I go about to find it all on my hard drive, and not missing anything
crucial?
Also, MediaPlayer 10 is the software needed to syncronise files to my Iriver
MP3 Player, therefore I would need to have it.
Thanks you all,
