Thanks, but I'm not moved by your argument!
Try to picture what it would be like if you changed a filename in
Explorer but had to wait a day or look in DOS to see it implemented!
Same for a simple change of date. Why invoke 'perpetual scanning' etc?
The change should be made immediately. At worst, an F5 should then
display it.
