Actually, the argument that a foetus is 'not alive' is becoming increasingly
discredited by the ever increasing discoveries that scientists are making
about the early weeks of life in the
womb.

It is now accepted, for instance, that the unborn child is able to sense the
mothers emotional state, and has been observed to 'dream'. It has also been
discovered that the child can feel pain - particularly relevant as abortion
usually takes the form of dismembering the helpless infant in-situ.

The child can also hear music and conversation, responds to various stimuli,
and is, in fact, far more advanced at a far earlier stage of development
that was hitherto thought.

The infant is, also, already known to God while in the womb -

'For it was you who created my being,
knit me together in my mother?s womb.
I thank you for the wonder of my being,
for the wonders of all your creation' - Psalm 139

We should never forget that the birth process is not the 'start' of life -
but merely a milestone.

According to the bible, life merely inhabits the body for a short time, and
that same life continues after the body dies in the 'real' dimension which
is spiritual, and will never end.

'With skin and flesh you clothed me,
With bones and sinew knit me together" - Job 10

The destruction of these children's bodies does not kill their spirits -
they are not disposable objects that can be discarded without further
thought, and their murderers will answer to God for what they have done.
