that part of the company was spun off and is now called Agilent.
The HP/Canon relationship goes back about 30 years and involved swapping
a bunch of HP inkjet patents and Canon laser patents as I recall. It was
a very good deal for both companies.
I agree totally with your "crappy cameras" comment.
Also their PC business was "managed" through decades of losses by the
same French HP operation now bleating about job cuts.
