The apostrophy denotes possession as in the rather clumsy sentence - We
did not know the photo's subject.
plural is NEVER denote by an apstrophy. Were you a fan of The Beatle's?
or the Rolling Stone's? Did you go to the lot to look at used car's? Was
your last ice cream cone two scoop's? Nope. Nope Nope. Nope Nope Nope.
