I need help! Now that I have a request for images of old family photos I
saved years ago to CD in .tif format, I need to open them. It ain't that
easy! I've tried Picture Manager, Photo Gallery, Irfanview, and some
others, but the only program that will open just a few is Picasa 3.
Is it a Kodak PhotoCD? They used a unique format. They once provided
a decoder that would work with Photoshop (if I remember right). Hunt
around and you may be able to find something.
You need a special decoder for that for Photoshop?
It's been a few years since I've had to do it, and since Kodak hasn't
doen PhotoCDs in years it may be dropped from current versions of the
software.
Huh. The PhotoCD (.pcd) format decoding comes built into Photoline. As well
as 55 other filetypes it can read and use.
