and perhaps, most importantly - any non-obvious photo-ops inThe "Bassin de l'Arsenal", a river marina between the Bastille and the Seine, which is the start of the "Canal de l'Ourq", a waterway which runs through the North East of Paris, also a nice spot for pictures (parts of it are underground, there are "bateaubuses" running on it).
Paris/surrounding area.
The Seine banks and the houseboats (west end of the Bois de Boulogne) especially around the "passerelle de l'Arve". Inside Paris the freeway along the right bank (aka "voie sur berge") is closed to car traffic on Sundays and open to pedestrians, rollerskates and bikes.
The Meudon Observatory
If weather is good, there is a captive balloon operated from the Parc André Citroën, on the left bank (the (grounded) ballon is clearly visible on GoogleEarth)
La Défense (high-rise district west of Paris)
The Parc de Sceaux, Vaux-le-Vicomte, Chantilly (palaces and parks, less known than Versailles)
The "Buttes Chaumont", a very hilly city park
The "Père Lachaise" and Montmartre cemeteries
Other than that, walking around, and keeping your eyes open...

Don't forget la Basilique Sacré-Coeur and Place du Tertre right behind it, a little ways. There, if it's not too cold, you can phtograph artists at work (pays to have a long lens there), people sitting at cafés, a museum dedicated to Salvator Dali...
Marcel
The OP said "non-obvious" :-) (and the Sacré-coeur itself has little merit IMHO)
