Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8 XR Di II AF

Looks like just the ticket for a fast mid-range zoom, and at a very nice
price.

The latest version in Nikon mount has AF motor in the lens, presumably a nod
to the vast D40/D40x/D60 hordes. Think I'll get one of these. In the past
I've found Tamron lenses to be quite good.

Anyone here have any experience with it?
