Is there an adapter made to use Canon FD lenses on an EF mount?
One (very rare, very expensive) from Canon for long FD lenses.
A handful 3rd party converters (cheap).
However, you don't want that; any converter is either:
- a 1.26x teleconverter (meaning you don't want cheap optics in
there, compare the price for a good 1.4x converter (aka extender)
with the adapter for an idea)
- or an extension tube (no infinity focussing)
I see several FD lenses for sell and the are remarkable cheap compared
to comparable EF mounts.
They also have no AF, no automatic aperture, no data for EXIF
info ...
I was checking to see if I could find a way to make it work?
If you want to go the "cheaper lenses" route and don't own e.g. a
400+mm FD lens, you may as well choose any other lens system
like M42, Nikon, T2, ...
There is no advantage of the FD mount versus other mounts, but
a lot of disadvantages (see above).
