Sony has no problems selling professional video cameras that cost a lot more
than $7000.
First of all Sony is a much bigger name in pro video than in pro
photography. Secondly people making movies, tv series and commercials
tend to have a much larger budget than people do pro photography. So
the comparison isn't really valid.
