That's only between 3 and 6 seconds of video, depending on the frame rate, not
even enough to do 1 scene...
at 3fps, it's over thirty seconds of video.
3 fps is not "video"...
it also creates it from
consecutive images which do not necessarily have to be taken in
succession.
I wonder why they bothered?
because it's fairly easy to implement and will probably entice some
buyers.
(Standard video is either 24 or 30 frames per sec, cartoons can run as low as
15.)
it's not intended to be a video camera.
No, it's intended to be a 'stop motion' camera... DSLRs are very popular for
that task because they give HD quality results, as opposed to P&S crap.
You can set a program like Pinnacle Studio to load stills, set them to 32
milisecs or whatever, and load in 1000 pics for a scene, and it outputs a
movie
clip.
that's true, but this is *out of the camera* with no additional
software needed.
Do they have a size setting of 1920 x 1080?? Or 720 x 480?
according to nikon, the movie is created from full resolution 10 mpix
images, with the movie rendered in a few different sizes.
