To the OP.. Are you in a position to need the extras the XSI will have
over the XTI? will the XSI allow you to grow further as a photog? I've
not looked at the specs,but if the XTI was good enough before, is there a
reason it's no longer as good for your needs?

Same reason I traded in my 55 Chevy. New ones are smaller, get more photos
per memory card, and don't last as long.
