Apparently, the design of the Sigma allows inadventent disengagement
of the lens lock.
A "Bigma" did this. Alot of good the Pentax water sealing did, you've
got to keep that lens attached! Now I'm beginning to see why this
lens mfg. is hated by some.

And, once again, you demonstrate why you aren't to be taken seriously.
Who pointed you to that particular post?
And why didn't you read the whole thread?

Oh I read it. It's pretty obvious the guy didn't intentionally unlock
the lens and dump the body, the thing came loose after he hit the
release by accident. The design (that allows this to happen) is
obviously poor.

The design that allowed this to happen is on the camera, not the lens.
Another example; People mentioning that the card
door on cheaper Nikons (D50, D40, etc) is easy to accidentally knock
open whereas in some cameras, it's basically impossible for that to
happen without the owner wanting it to happen. Good design versus bad
design. In cars, bad designs take lives, but in cameras, it's just
the insurer to ends up paying, as in this case.

That's what insurance is for.
It seems you don't understand how insurance works, either.

THIS IS A SIG LINE; NOT TO BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY!

Bill Clinton skipped Thursday night's
Democratic presidential debate to attend
a fundraiser for Hillary in Brooklyn.
He fiercely defends her. He's so mad at
the New York Post for criticizing Hillary
that he's threatened to cancel all his
personal ads.
