Thanks for clarifying your application.
I bought from a local shop in Edinburgh, Scotland, so the price isn't
really relevant.
I would recommend memory as the first priority, perhaps followed by a fast
hard disk (e.g. Western Digital Raptor). I compromised with a 150GB WD
Raptor system disk, and a 300GB / 16MB buffer data disk.
What software do you intend to use? I ask, as the memory requirements and
management will differ.
Unless you need games capability, you can save money by getting the
cheapest graphics card you can find - it will be fast enough.
