So - I am looking at either getting a canon rebel xt with a nice IS lens or the canon 20d with the kit lens.
Is it better to go for the better lens or better body. This is my first DSLR. I reckon the Rebel may server me well, but thought I would run it by you all.
Do you expect your first DLSR to be your last? Good lenses
will serve across upgrades of obsolete bodies.
Better photographer than I will disagree on this, but I
think the metal body of the 20D is a disadvantage.
Canon followed the 10D with the D-Rebel about five months
later, and the 20D with the Rebel-XT in about the same
interval. Does the 30D portend an upgrade to the Rebel-XT?
