Semigloss or even gloss is essentially the same. It's gloss with a little texture.

Might help to know the printer model & paper brand <g>.

I've got an R1800 & I'm liking the look of Epson Premium Semigloss. ... I don't care for some of the more heavily textured satin type papers and full gloss aparently has the best gamut & detail but the glare is pretty awful on that. ...
