Just as a comment on the current state of homanity, one of our customers
called into tech support with a virus. The tech explained that the virus
had been on her system for quite some time and that the "sure cure" was to
"clean the drive". The customer indicated that she wanted to backup some
files and then she would "clean the drive". FYI, this is a portable (aka, a
"laptop").
Six hours later the customers husband calls in and wants to know if
submerging the portable in the bathtub for 3 hours would permenantly damage
the system.
"Yessir, I think it's safe to say that the system is damaged and your
warranty will not cover it."
"But she didn't use any soap !"
