Hi Chris.
The temperature is correct - set at 84-84F should provide a mix of
males & females - anything much over that will produce predominabtly
one sex - as will happen much below that.
The incubator was set up by my local reptile supplier. It's a
polystyrene box in which fish tanks are delivered. I bought polystyrene
sheeting from a diy store to make the lid.
Inside I have a heat mat with a thermostat and thermometer. Over the
heat mat is a cake rack! (to keep everything off the heat mat). I use
styrene or margarine tubs with barely damp vermiculite to bed the eggs
in.
It's simply a Q of lids on tubs or not!
