FRESH REGIONAL INGREDIENTS
Deboned chicken, chicken meal, turkey meal,
I'm curious. What do you think is the difference between chicken and chicken meal?
russet potato, lake
whitefish, chicken fat,
Somebody was protesting beef trim, probably because of the fat content.
Here they just insert the fat!
sweet potato, whole eggs, turkey, salmon meal,
salmon and anchovy oils, salmon,
Ahhh .. now we see the distinction between salmon meal and salmon.
I wonder what salmon meal is?
natural chicken flavour, sunflower oil,
sun-cured alfalfa,
Alfalfa is great, as is the next ingredient kelp.
Of course the highest source of nutrients from alfalfa would be to sprout alfalfa.
dried brown kelp, carrots, spinach, peas, tomatoes,
apples, psyllium, dulse,
Wouldn't it be great if they showed the % proportions of these ingredients? I bet we're way under 1% increments by now.
glucosamine Hcl, cranberries, black currants,
rosemary extract, chondroitin sulfate, sea salt.
And finally we have the preservative....salt.
Just like almost every pet food on the planet.
The ingredients are far better than most I have to admit.
But why not just buy chicken, turkey, potatoes, etc and feed those to your dog?
You see we are just paying the pet food companies to combine these very simple and easily obtainable ingredients.
The stuff that follows is great of course.
But if food is fresh, especially if its sprouted, it will be loaded with nutrients.
Thanks for posting. Its very informative. And probably a good plug or the maker...so be it. :)
