Diddy:
I've made Crockpot Chicken or Slammin' Salmon for my pregnant bitches. This can be poured on food, or fed as a meal. I also make a wholesome milk meal for nursing females.
Wholesome Milk Meal (for puppies and nursing females): 1 cup of goat's milk, one egg, 1/2 cup of plain yogurt, 1 tablespoon of cold-pressed flax seed oil, 1 tsp of raw honey, one banana. If for puppies, I will add vitamins such as liquid Poly V sol baby vitamins and a couple of drops of liquid Vit. E. Blend well - serve. Depending on how many puppies you are feeding, you can make more. This is a great treat for adult dogs too.
Crock Pot Chicken: (for finicky/sick dogs and nursing females): Take a whole fryer chicken cut up or any parts of a chicken and put in crock pot and fill with water until chicken is almost covered. You can add some garlic cloves and seasoning such as fresh cilantro/parsley and some veggies. Cook for at least 24 hours or until bones crumble between your fingers. You'll want to cook this stuff outside or in a shed as it STINKS! But the dogs LOVE it. Freeze in individual portions for a bi-weekly treat.
A baked yam with 1 to 2 tins of canned fish - or my "Slammin' Salmon" recipe. I cut up two whole, raw salmons and stuff them into my crock pot. I add water to almost cover the fish. I might add some herbs such as fresh cilantro/parsley. Then I cook it on high for at least 12 hours. I cook this mixture out in my shed, as I can't stand the smell. The bones crumble up easily and the dogs just LOVE this stuff! Leftovers can be frozen.
