Even if a gay person hits on you, why is it so different from an
unwanted advance from someone of the opposite sex. If you know how to
say you're not interested, it should work for both situations. Unless
gay people have developed their own language without telling anybody
or something. I think the fact that gay people gravitate to gay
people is part of the fear, though. Homophobic people are afraid that
being in a situation where a gay person might hit on them will lead to
it happening, which will make everyone think that they are gay as
well, heaven forbid.
