Exactly. Like you, I'm only bothered by people who won't take no for an answer, and there are way more men who fit under that umbrella than women.


Although, I will admit to having been bothered a bit once. For a lit class, we had to find a turn of the century b-grade book (might have been Lady Audley's Secret, don't remember now), at the time only published by a small time publisher somewhere in lower Manhattan. I couldn't go down there until later in the afternoon, and got badly lost in The Village. It was getting dark, and I was getting a little scared, and received a few indecent proposals from "people" (if I can use that term loosely) whose gender I couldn't readily identify. In retrospect, it was probably no big deal, but at the time, some of the people and some of the things they said, and some of the persistance was quite creepy.
