She didn't say "all breeders" are lazy elitist snobs. But in some breeds
the breed clubs themselves have no interest in educating the public about
their breed. I think a club puts on a web site the things that they think
are important first. No matter how good or how lousy they are at
organization or presentation what information is put up is what they see
as important. And sadly a rather large number of breed club sites still
have NO information on genetic health issues. And NO recommendation about
what should be expected of breeders in regard to improving breed health.
And NO information about what the breed is like to live with. Some of the
breed club sites are purely for those involved in the club. Educating the
public is not on their list of concerns or interests.
