Hi all;

I have a MP that did something I never saw her do. Mind you, it's the first dog that we have had, so I'm not sure if this may be seen with other types as well.

After I opened up the door to our backyard, she started to sniff the ground, and occasionally turn on her back so as to rub her skin/fur against the grass/weeds? One one occasion, there was a dead earthworm where she was rubbing against.

I've tried doing searches on google, but no avail.

Thanks in advance for your anticipated responses.

Regards,

Rich

my favorite thing that our mini schnauzer does is rub himself against this soft flower bush. its got long reach and soft leaves and pink flowers, and he goes in head first and then curves his body to rub his back length against it, then turns to do his other side. he often grunts or even growls as he does it (not angrily), but just as if to say 'i need to do a thorough job'. he LOVES that plant and gets it on the way back from the park every day. its very adorable and funny, he's a nature pup.

it was interesting to read someone say they are perfuming themselves.

Thank you all for your responses; I really appreciate it.

I thought the dog was going nuts on me.

Regards,

Rich
