Not to mention, dismissive of and condescending toward a pet owner's concerns.

To elaborate--dismissing an owner's concerns, or acting condescending toward them, may either discourage the owner from asking further, possibly important, questions, or it may result in the owner just quietly finding herself a vet who doesn't make her feel like an ass for asking questions.

Hopefully, you'll remember this discussion when begin seeing clients.

Just an FYI, I've had a number of interactions with simulated clients, mock exams, etc. The feedback I've had from people I've actually spoken to in person has been pretty well overwhelmingly positive (believe me, not everyone gets good 'reviews', so I'm fairly confident that the feedback is genuine). They all felt that I'd fully and carefully explored their concerns, and that I understood where they were coming from. Perhaps it’s a defect in the written communication?

I also seem to recall Phyrie (the original poster that started all of this) saying that I hadn't made her feel like an ass, and as she's really the only one who's important in all of this, that makes me happy.
