Okay, I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt here and assuming that whatever e-culture you hail from finds baby-talk, emoticons and "e-hugs" to total strangers acceptable.

It doesn't play well here, not at all. In fact, I personally find it creepy, so much so that whatever viable content might be included in your posts is lost in the shadow cast by the overwhelming saccharine ickiness.

I am assuming that in real life you know better than to stand too close to strangers, that you're not an obsessive toucher, that you realize that overdoing the "sincere eye contact" thing can be unnerving, if not downright threatening. Although, obviously I can't know this for sure and maybe you actually do those things.

My point is, when you join a new group, whether on line or in person you need to hang back a little, get a feel for the lay of the land, learn who's who and what's what.

You got off on the wrong foot here, big time, by not taking your time to figure things out, especially by aligning yourself with PS. Anybody who spent more that a week here would realize that calling him the village idiot would be an insult to idiots everywhere. He was the beneficiary of valuable real life help from members of this group with a great deal of actual experience, for who I have a great deal of respect, and he failed to do his part and reacted with a public hatchet job that is still ongoing, and with bizarre, stalker-ish behavior.

And the highjacking of posts to fluff out the content of your own forum is beyond the pale. I have a hard time believing that anybody would be so clueless as to think that would be okay, in any way, shape or form.

However, it is possible that the situation is still salveagable, assuming, of course, that you have any actual interest in contributing to the group, and that you're not here simply to generate hits for your forum. We've had a lot of problems with clickwhores setting themselves up as faux experts. I can't say for sure if that's what's up with you but your behavior to date certainly makes me wonder. Remove ALL of the highjacked posts from your forum, and open it up so that those affected can reassure themselves that the job has been done to their satisfaction without requiring that the register as members.

Also, tone down (or better yet, eliminate) the pink fluffy bunnies and huggles crap, and avoid leaping, foot in mouth, into situations you have no clue about.
