Hah! It's probably been a couple of decades since I thought
about Encyclopedia Brown. I used to love those books (I was
a huge nerd as a kid [who could have guessed?]).
As hard as I tried, I could NEVER discipline myself to try to
figure out the mystery before flipping to the back for the
answer. One exception was the story that had something to do
with Bugs Meaney and (ObDogs) a dog he had presumably trained
to attack people wearing red clothing - but only because I'd
learned that same day that, as we believed then, dogs only see
shades of grey.

I thought that was funny, too. I wonder if it turned out to
be true.
Well, I hope she gets Jeebus back, 'cause I think she needs Him.
And, of course, that Jeebus gives her a good lecture about doing
unto others' lawns and such.
