The dog is "playing" with other dogs. They lay in the grass with the

would be your suggestion to stop their frustration? Outlaw fences and
let the dogs run wild throughout the neighborhood?>>

Hardly. You can't see where frustration would exist? Why not invite
one of the other pups into your yard for REAL play?

I appreciate the assistance, but please do without the rudeness....

Sorry, but I really hate "we have this dog, but we don't want to
actually live with it".

Janet, I'm simply trying to learn how to care for my dog and help her
keep from hyperventilating and injuring herself in banging against the
door.

You've gotten that answer. Teach her how to ask more politely. A small
bark or sit works for me, let her in, and even better, keep an eye out
for her and let her in BEFORE she slams herself into the door.

Your comments meant to belittle and trivialize my dog ownership
are exactly why I hate going to PetsMart, visiting usenet groups,
going to dog parks, or asking questions.

Trivialize? I take dog ownership very seriously. Which is why I'm
responding to you that your puppy needs companionship, not to be shoved
in the yard and ignored.

You put your pets on the
same pedestal as children and expect everyone else to do the same.

Please tell me where I did that. I'm telling you that a social breed
mix of puppy needs to be with it's people. Plain and simple.

You run people off with your animal worship and hate for people who
recognize which is the master and which is the pet.

I don't have problems with my dogs. They live with me and under my
rules. But I don't treat them like inanimate objects either, nor do I
"worship" them. I do have a great deal of love for them though. I
have a hard time figuring out why people get dogs if they don't actually
like them.
