So, just curious, is Rudy the runt of
the litter?

No clue. He came from a pet store from a lovely Missouri Puppymill.
He's a long and tall and svelte boy who has recently dropped weight.

Rudy is fortunate to be in a home where you are willing and able to help.
If this is what it turns out to be, learn to do sub-q fluids, if you don't
already know how. (I'm betting you already know how) If you find anemia
setting in, you might want to contact Cornell. Jadee was involved in their
canine epogen study. I have no idea what the results of it were, or if they
were even fruitful, but I'd be happy to email you any information/contacts I
have on it.

Thanks so much - to everyone. The urine test tomorrow should show us
something, and then the repeat of the BUN and Creatinine tests. I
figure I can't do much except take this one day at a time and deal with
it as I can. I'm very fortunate to have a flexible schedule that is my
own, and be able to take him with me whenever I may need to as well.

I haven't had to give sub-q fluids in years thank goodness, but no big
deal if I need to, and Rudy is a very cooperative guy for everything.

Meanwhile, he's his happy and silly self, racing around with Marcie,
snuggling on the sofa, and loving life.
