C'mon! Kate bought a lake (well, lake-front) for *her* FCR.

Land and trail access is becoming a problem for all sorts of
people and all sorts of activities in the lower 48. Canada
has all that fabulous wilderness not too far from population
centers (er, centres). I met someone down in Pennsylvania
that runs mid-distance races, and to train she runs her dogs
in loops around her 40-acre farm. Around and around and
around and around. And then she gets her ass kicked at
races. I couldn't do that to the dogs (run them over the
same short trail endlessly and then go to a race knowing
they won't do well), but on the other hand at least she's
getting out there. But access problems are getting worse
and worse and worse. I can only imagine how tough it is in
the east coast metroplex for an activity that involves guns.
