me neither. Of course, around here it's "you're here to see US,
right? The balls are right over here and we'll let you throw them
ALL day! We're great at helping with all sorts of home
improvement projects, so just say the word and we're at your
service!"

Ha! That sounds about right.

Snapping is totally not in their vocabulary.

Not okay for any dog, really, but any sort of aggression coming from
your dogs would boggle me. They aren't meant to be particularly
protective and certainly not aggressive.

Harriet likes some folks, and is happy to see them. If they're
Allowed, then they are "family" and treated as such (sometimes to
their dismay; ahem). When they are unknown quantities, she's aloof
until she knows they are Allowed (and then, see above).
Unfortunately, there are the folks who just plain scare her, but
that's because she's tweaked in the head. The fear thing is abnormal
for her breed, but the other responses are pretty normal.

Snapping, though? She's never done that, and hopefully never would.
She did growl once at a guy who was overtly threatening to her, but I
thought that was acceptable. My response was to tell the guy to back
the hell off. IOW, I growled at him, too, and might've bitten him,
if he hadn't minded me.
