No, but it might mean that a person is a little careful with words.

How careful is careful enough?

Should making jokes about shampoo(!) be verboten? Criminalized?

Any other words or topics?

Feel free to list all of them, okay?

Is it ok to just be insensitive?

Yes, when the alternative requires us to have superhuman abilities
than none of us possess.

It wasn't just a joke about conditioner and/or it could have been
expressed differently.

That's exactly what it was. And the only way that it might have been
expressed differently is if Luna had been able to predict that you
would be hurt by her joke. And that is a superhuman ability that none
of us possess. Just like no one could have predicted that the mere
mention of the word cancer would bring pain to my heart. Or that
seeing my name brings pain to Luna's.

The onus, if you will, is on you, and not Luna, and not me, to not be
so sensitive.

But that's the last time I will engage with you about this because you
are not really listening to what I'm saying

I'm listening to every word you're saying, and I'm sure that your
listening to every word I'm saying.

And it's somewhat disheartening to me that we somehow still can't
understand where the other person is coming from.

and I am obviously
incapable of writing clearly or convincingly enough to fully express my
point.

That's pretty much my exact feelings.

Because I cannot take the world into consideration does not give me
license to be thoughtless.

No, IMO, because you cannot take the world into consideration, you
need to find a way to be less sensitive.

Being "thoughtless" requires first-hand knowledge that what you are
about to say might cause someone pain, and then saying it anyway.

But no one here had that knowledge.

I'm not holding anything against anyone. That's is a waste of energy.

Yep.

At least we can agree on something.
