No you don't. You are critical of them because they don't mesh with
yours. No mention about how totally WRONG you were, and I don't think
Basic Obedience grads are ready for the Novice ring, no. I have yet to
experience a Basic class that does off leash heeling, or at least not
much of it.
But I'm still offended that you
think ring obedience equates to disobedient dogs. I still think Judy , in
the heat of passion forgot to issue an incompatible command.

I did NOT say that ring obedience - disobedient dogs. I said (read
carefully): SOME people train for RING OBEDIENCE ONLY and forget about
the real life behaviors that really count. Your interpretation is
ummmm, interesting.
I think Judy is not a very knowledgeable dog owner, so *my* opinion is
that her dogs had pretty much no respect for her.
