I don't understand what good would it do to know how pressure and/or other weather variables effect pain. You can't control any of those factors, so I guess I'm not sure why anyone would want to track them. What am I missing?
I've been asking myself that question since I was 10 years old and felt this incredible relief just knowing the connection between my sneezing fits and the pollens in the air. I couldn't do anything about the pollen, but I felt better understanding what was going on. Knowledge is power or some such. It was the same when I got a scratch test years later. The test was a diagnosis, not a cure, but I loved understanding which pollens were doing it.
I think it has something to do with the randomness of the symptoms. I can be feeling great one moment (like now) and horrible another (like yesterday). It's like I question my own sanity. If I could tie it to a pattern, I'd feel some control over it, some way of talking to myself with a "yup, here comes a pressure system, no wonder your neck is killing you."
Also, it can lead to treatment. If hormones are a bigger factor than barometric pressure, a doctor could be led to a better understanding of the diagnosis and treatment.
