Thank you. He is a darling. And yes he is beautiful.
He is also very playful and a delight to be with. We went for a long
hike yesterday. It was along the Galina trail that used to be a
railroad track that has been turned into a pathway for walking and
bycicling. It is in the forest overseeing the lake and surrounding
mountains. We walked for about an hour and stopped to go to a beach.
There was not a soul there. No telephone or electric lines to see or
houses. Just Nature in her Glory. The water was warm for swimming in. I
take Blue out to my shoulders and let in swim to shore. He comes up to
me and we do this a few times. He plays with rocks and sticks sniffing
round and checking things out. All the while keeping his eye on
'moomy'. He is a genius. I know everyone who has a dog or child
probably say's that as they should. Love beautifies everything. I
remember Dolly Parton once saying that it is good to hear people say
they think their husband or child or dog is the best one in the world.
It is funny how love can make everything appear holy. This is how I see
dogs as part of the holiness and beauty beyond comprehension or
description of the Sacredness of life.
Blue likes to drink water from the lake. He ran up and down the
mountain to the lake on our walk yesterday. I wondered how such a young
pup could run down such steep terrain. But he did and ran back up. I
think he would do well in agility. I am thinking of having him go down
the valley to a place where there are some agility weekends at a
property that some people go to that I have met and they say their dogs
love going.
Since my angel Ruby died last year, I have been so lonely for a dog. I
believe Ruby sent Blue to me. That is what a good friend of mine who
moved to New Zealand told me. She is also a lover of Border Collies. I
felt happy when she said that. He does seem like a gift from God. And I
believe Ruby is with God.
