Somehow she
completely forgot (for the life of me I don't see how anyone could do
this) to drop the child off at the day care and went to work.
This is actually quite plausible. My wife did it 3 or 4 times last year
over the space of 4 months. All it takes is a moment's distraction just
before you make the turn from your normal route (before baby) to the new
route (to daycare) and the thoughht of daycare is out of your mind.
Granted, when my wife got to work, she realized that Emilie was still in
the backseat and she turned around and dropped her off, but it is
surprisingly easy to do.

Actually, now that I think about it, I've had times when my mind has
been somewhere else for a moment and my vehicle just goes where it's used
going. Force of habit. Half the time when I take my grandmother to theI
doctor, after the visit and driving her home, I've drove right to my house
(which is close to hers). My car is just used to driving there, so I can
understand the woman bypassing daycare and going right to work. However I
normally realize my brain gap rather quickly.
I'm very conscientious when it comes to children and dogs and although
guess I can understand it, I just wonder why someone wouldn't double checkon
as you get out of the vehicle. Speaking as a parent, my child is always
my mind, especially when he was little and even though I might havein
forgotten to do something momentarily, it always popped back into my mind
a little bit. - - Les===
One would have to have an awful lot on his/her mind to forget your child is
also in the car. I wonder why someon doesn't invent a light that goes on in
the front seat when a baby is sitting in the back in a baby seat.
