Tal, you said that you have a 9 month old vizsla/pit bull mix that was
chewing up everything in sight (my words not yours) and you were
wondering if you should get a 2nd dog to entertain him and keep him busy
so maybe he wouldn't be so destructive. I think all of the above
suggestions were good ideas.
This is the part that blows me away!!!!!! I didn't notice anyone
advising you that you should not get a 2nd dog because you own a Pit
Bull mix and upon maturity they may attack the other dog!!!!! I own a
Pit Bull/Lab mix that I have had for 14 months. He is now a liittle
over 2 and recently went after my old Lab....every web site I visited,
every trainer I talked to, even a few folks here said that it is not
ideal to have a 2nd dog in the home with a pit bull, especially another
pit bull. Take it for what is is worth, it is not my advice but I am
far from an expert in the Pit bill field. Whatever you do. I sure do
hope things work out for you. PS By no means am I suggesting a 2nd dog
will solve your problem. I am just saying if you decide to do that
consider the above.
