my Boxer does the same thing. she roasts herself over the
heat register. it's especially funny in the mornings, because
she'll try to wedge herself underneath my dresser, where the
bedroom register is located. other times, she'll lie next to
the register and toast her belly.

i figure it's within her normal realm of behavior. if it were
abnormal, i'd have her checked out by a vet, because some
disorders, like hypothyroid, can cause coldness.
