LOL! It worked a little differently here. My daughter and I both
really wanted a puppy, but if anything, I pushed for it more than
she did. I don't think I would have made it through middle school
without a dog at home. She's just as shy and sensitive as I am, and
I wanted her to have a puppy -- someone to love her unconditionally.
She does do pretty well with helping to take care of Lexi, and I'm
happy at the bond I see growing between them. That bond is the
main reason I went for a puppy instead of an adult dog -- I didn't
see her bonding the same way with an adult.
