Dog behavior folks, plz read

Howdy all,

I've been engaged in a dispute with a couple anti-dog trolls over in
alt.true-crime.

These are people who are afraid of pitties and other bully breeds and in
favor of breed bans, etc. One of them claims to have been breeding Bull
Terriers for 40 years.

Both of them are trolls IMO, so why bother? Sometimes I bother, because I
greatly dislike it when people spread popular myths ("killer dogs!" "jaws
like alligators!") and reinforce them in people's minds. Plus, I totally
despise breed bans and what's going on in Denver.

I've done the best I could as an enthusiastic amateur ;-). All of my info
may not be totally accurate, but let's not quibble over the small stuff.

I also don't like to crosspost, but I invite anyone in here who's so
inclined to c'mon over to alt.true-crime and assist. Threads are "Denver
pit bull owners in a panic," "Oh, yeah!" and "Dogs are what humans make
them." Basically, the threads containing posts by "johns" and/or "johns123"
and me.

This isn't about winning an argument - it's about posting factual info wrt
breeds and dog behavior so that even more people don't believe the myths
about pitties and want to kill all of 'em.
