Re: OT Brit food

DH and I were talking (not seriously) the other night about moving to USA
to open up a restaurant serving truly british food. Then we got to
wondering what Americans and other nationalities would like to eat that's
british.
So, what would you like to eat in my Brit restaurant?

I used to go to Grenoble regularly, and a friend there introduced me
to a local restaurant that regularly did "international theme nights"
featuring the food of countries the chef had never been to. One of
them (which I didn't see in person) was British food. The obvious
choice was fish and chips. It had to be some sort of Mediterranean
fish rather than cod or haddock, but the crowning touch was little
servings of raspberry jam with each plate. He'd seen British people
on TV putting red stuff on their food but had no idea what ketchup was.

(Fish and chips would be impossibly difficult to duplicate in most
places - okay in Australia, NZ or coastal eastern Canada but hardly
anywhere else).
